Historic Lincoln Theatre, U Street NW, DC

The Hung Tao Choy Mei Leadership Institute (HTCMLI) produces events for the community that educate and improve the health and wellness of the community.

Several events produced by HTCMLI and held at the historic Lincoln Theatre on U Street, NW include:

• *a free public forum on improving one's own health and wellness;
• *a public and free forum on ending youth violence in the city;
• *the creation of an annual award inspired by the legendary history of Paul Robeson called the "Here I Stand" award;
• *an evening with Actor-Activist Danny Glover interviewing Entertainer-Activist Harry Belafonte;
• *an evening with scholar Dr. Manning Marable interviewing the legendary Dick Gregory;
• *an evening with Historian-Scholar Dr. John Hope Franklin.
